How is the space set up?
You will be allocated several high tables for a canape style affair, with seating available and plenty of room to stand and mingle. Set ups vary and are tailored for each function’s requirements.
Are there minimum spends?
Minimum spends are applicable to all of our function spaces. These spends vary depending on the space, date and time of your booking. The minimum spend is made up of your food and beverage cost. If you do not reach the minimum spend you will be charged a venue hire fee up to the minimum spend. Minimum spends are subject to change depending on current food & beverage costs.
Do I have an exclusive area?
Functions can access an exclusive area dependant on the number of guests and / or minimum spend requirements. The welcoming atmosphere of our venue and informal layout presents many unique spaces for your function experience. Non-exclusive functions are hosted within a defined area cordoned for your private use.
How long does a function go for?
All functions are reserved for 3 hours. On occasion, we are able to provide an extended booking. Extended reservations are at the discretion of Dandelion and dependent on other existing reservations.
How and when can I pay for my function?
A deposit payment is required to confirm the booking. No booking will be confirmed until the deposit is received. Payment of the deposit is acceptance of our Terms and Conditions. Function food must be pre-ordered and paid for in full at a minimum of 14 days prior to your function. Balance of payment is taken at the conclusion.
Can we bring our own decorations?
You’re most welcome to bring florals, weighted balloons or other decorations for table centrepieces, however these are to be discussed with our Functions Team prior to ordering, to ensure they will work in the area or on the tables with the shared canapes and service provide.
** Please note we do not allow confetti, confetti balloons, or sparklers**
Can I bring my own cake?
You are more than welcome to bring your own cake, and drop it off prior to your function, by prior arrangement with the Function Team. We do not charge any cakeage fees.
Can I play my own music?
As we have our restaurant open for general dining, we don’t allow any external music to be played in the venue. However, if your function has exclusive use of the venue, you can connect a music playlist from an iPhone, iPad or laptop to our sound system which will be played at a background level and controlled by the Dandelion team.
Do you cater for people with dietary requirements?
We can cater for the following dietary requirements: gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan & nut allergy. However, please note that whilst all reasonable efforts are taken to accommodate guest dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that food is 100% allergen free as it is all prepared in the same kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish, gluten and eggs. Please make any dietary requirements known when discussing your booking with our team.
Is there wheelchair access?
The whole venue is wheelchair friendly, with an elevator leading to the upstairs space. A disabled toilet is available.
Does a dress code apply?
We ask that our guests be dressed in neat, smart / casual attire.
What if I need to cancel my function?
All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made within 7 days of booking the function will be fully refundable. Cancellations made within 14 days from the event will receive a 50% refund of the food order. Cancellations made within 48 hours will forfeit all monies paid.
